December Meeting

We will meet December 10 at 7:00 in the rectory.  We will be discussing Chapters 3 and 4 of The Everlasting Man.

November Meeting

We will meet November 12 at 7:00 in the rectory.  We will be discussing Chapters 1 and 2 of The Everlasting Man.  A free audio version is available as is a .pdf version.  There is a Dale Ahlquist video that provides an overview.

October Meeting

We will be meeting on Sunday, October 15 at the rectory.  We will be reading "Cheese" and "The Bluff of the Big Shops," both of which can be downloaded here.

Chesterton Lecture

News from our neighbors--the Mahoning Valley Chesterton Societe:

Hello friends,

I have attached a flyer for the September 17th lecture by historian Pat Lally. You are all welcome to attend this event. The lecture will be preceded by a social, so I am hoping some members of local/regional Chesterton Societies will be able to meet each other.

The Ignatius Press edition of Lepanto, which features notes and explanatory essays, will be available for purchase for $10. Our Society will be reading and discussing the poem for our October 15th meeting.

Summer Hiatus

Since the June meeting was postponed, and July is almost over, the executive committee has voted to extend the summer hiatus through August.  The Society will reconvene on September 17--Deo volente--in the rectory.  We will discuss the readings originally posted for the June meeting:  "What I Found in My Pocket" and "The Wrath of the Roses".

June Meeting POSTPONED!

This Sunday's meeting has been postponed!  No make up date yet, but stayed tuned. We will be meeting on Sunday, June 25 at 7:00 PM in the rectory.  We will discuss "What I Found in My Pocket" and "The Wrath of the Roses".

May Meeting

Our next meeting will be on May 7 at 7:00 PM in the rectory.  We will be discussing "The Ideal of a Leisure State" and "On Abolishing Sunday".

March / April Meeting

The next meeting will be held on April 2 at 7:00 PM in the rectory.

We will be reading the last three stories from The Innocence of Father Brown:
"The Eye of Apollo," "The Sign of the Broken Sword," and "The Three Tools of Death."
There is a Librivox edition available, a Project Gutenberg edition, and a free Kindle edition on Amazon.

February Meeting

We will meet on February 19 in the rectory at 7 for the long-postponed meeting from January.  We will be discussing the essays mentioned in the previous post.
